Ron Brown "RB Smooth" is a native of Chicago and Mr. Debonair of his class of 1981. His passion for Chicago Style Steppin began in the 1970's, while attending Chicago Vocational High School (CVS) on the Southside of Chicago.

His rich cultural exposure to the dance, local Steppin scene and legends in his earlier years has been a great influence to the development of his smooth dancing style,  love for the culture and inspiration to his method of instructing. 

Ron teaches the art form of the dance while showcasing the gracefulness of the movements and elegance of the original style of his time.

Ron believes that Steppin is a journey of honing one's skills through dedication, practicing and continuing aspiring to be one's best.

His style and flare of dancing is one way of saying thanks to all that came before and after him that have supported his development, helped enriched the culture and represents Chicago style in a manner of honor and respect on the floor.
